Obituary of Judith Linich

Judith Ann Linich (nee Knutson) Age 69. At rest suddenly on Monday, July 6, 2015 at home. Born March 22, 1946 in Joliet, Judy was the daughter of Frank and Bessie (nee Morgan) Knutson, and was a member of the first graduating class of Providence High School. She was an active member of St. Paul the Apostle as a parishioner from 1979 to the present, and was very involved in the home and school association and youth ministry programs from 1981-93. She was also a strong supporter of the Knights of Columbus for many years where her husband was a member and her son is a current member. A loving wife, mother and grandmother to Ellie Linich, the light of her life, who affectionately called her "Shabba". She will be remembered as a woman who gave so much to her family. Survived by her devoted son, Gerald Jr. (Karen) of Aurora, IL; her precious granddaughter, Elizabeth (Ellie), also of Aurora; a sister-in-law, Linda Linich of Lockport; one niece, Heather (Jonathan) Mayer of Villa Park, IL; nephews, Ryan Linich of Chicago and Daniel Linich; one great-niece, Megan Gonzalez; and sister-in-law, Linda (Shepard) Dempsey, all of Los Lunas, NM; a brother-in-law, Dwayne Linich of Lockport, IL; and numerous aunts, cousins and friends. Preceded by her beloved husband, Gerald Linich (January 6, 2015); her parents; brother, Tom Knutson; and a niece, Lisa (nee Linich) Gonzalez. Funeral Services for Judith A. Linich will be Monday, July 13, 2015 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Our Savior Lutheran Preschool and Kindergarten or St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church would be appreciated.
