Obituary of Domenico Coladipietro

Domenico G. Coladipietro Age 80, of Joliet, IL, died suddenly, Monday, July 6, 2015 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL. He was born March 16, 1935 to the late Nunziata and Biase Coladipietro in Caramanico Terme, Italy emigrating to Canada and settling in Joliet, where he had resided since 1960. Beloved husband of 52 years to Maria (nee D'Amico) Coladipietro; loving father of Marco (Lynn) Coladipietro of Crest Hill, IL, Franco (Amy) Coladipietro of Bloomingdale, IL and Carla (Domenico) Fronteddu of Bloomingdale, IL; proud and devoted Nonno to Michael and Marisa Coladipietro; Alyssa and Joseph Coladipietro; and Gianna Fronteddu; dear brother of Augusta (late Albert) Facchini, Anna Maria (Vincenzo) Persico. Also surviving are his sister-in-law Margaret Coladipietro and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Chris (late Norma) and Antonio Coladipietro. Domenico retired from Caterpillar Inc. after more than 30 years of service. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and a founding member of the American Italian Cultural Society. He was a talented wine maker who enjoyed gardening, bocce ball and spending time with his family and friends. Funeral Services for Domenico Coladipietro will be held Friday, July 10, 2015, 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery.
