It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Dorothy A. Senffner, at the age of 82. Dorothy entered into eternal life on July 6, 2015 at Presence St Joseph Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Joliet, IL on November 11, 1932 to the late Harold and Irene Kaveney (nee Oquist). Preceded in death by her beloved son, Michael R. Senffner (4/11/98), and brother in law Richard Klimek.
Dorothy was employed as a Business Manager by the Illinois Youth Center/Joliet Correctional Center for 32 years. She retired in 1995 and thoroughly enjoyed spending her 20 year retirement with her family and friends.
She had an unwavering faith in God and she instilled that deep faith in her family, leading them by her Christian example. She was a lifelong member of St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. We are truly blessed and eternally grateful that Dorothy was our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She thoroughly enjoyed her family and felt that the love of her family was one of life's greatest blessings. Dorothy faithfully cared for them by cooking and baking especially around the holidays. She was truly the heart of the Senffner family. Her legacy of love will endure forever. Dorothy loved to laugh, travel, play cards, attend family gatherings and watch the Bulls.
