Obituary of Jimmy Flanagan

Jimmy E. Flanagan Age 67, of Seneca, and formerly of Joliet, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, Peoria, IL. Born April 19, 1948 in Lambert, MS, he was the son of the late J. P. and Marjorie (nee Palmer) Flanagan. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and worked many years as an auto mechanic. Surviving are his beloved wife of 34 years, Marlene (nee Holtz) Flanagan; his children, James (Cathy) Flanagan, Melissa Lee, Shelley Flanagan, Brian Flanagan, Joshua Flanagan, Shaun Flanagan, and Brandon (Brittany) Flanagan; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Billy (Gary) Flanagan and Joey (Terri) Flanagan; three sisters, Christine (Bill) Lawler, Glenda (Larry) Bank and Nina (W. C.) Allen; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Graveside services for Jimmy E. Flanagan will be held Monday, July 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. where full military honors will be accorded by the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Memorial Squad and the United States Army.
