Obituary of Linda Kautz

Linda Sue Kautz (nee Gilbert) Age 66. Peacefully, Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home with her family by her side following a courageous battle with lymphoma. Born in Joliet and a lifelong Joliet and Channahon area resident. Attended both Joliet Central High School and Joliet East High School. Linda's greatest loves in life were spending time with family and friends, especially the grandkids, and restoring antique dolls. Linda could also be seen at many auctions looking for that beautiful but rare find antique doll to restore to her former glory. Preceded by her mother, Dolly Schultz (2005); and her mother-in-law, Lorene Kautz. Survived by her loving husband of 43 years, George "Sonny" Kautz of Channahon; two sons, Wayne (Adrienne) Kautz of Channahon and Daniel (Trisha) Kautz of Minooka; one daughter, Tracy (Billy) Sims of Channahon; six grandchildren, Jessica, Declan and Riley Kautz, Trevor Kautz and Kacie and Austin Sims; one sister, Sheila (the late Erwin) Kump of Joliet; and numerous nieces, nephews, one great nephew and cousins also survive. Funeral services for Linda Sue Kautz will be held Tuesday July 21, 2015, 9:30 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
