Obituary of Donald Stanfel

Donald R. Stanfel Age 62. Passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Born in Joliet, IL to the late Donald F. Stanfel and Mary M. (nee Gray) Stanfel on September 23, 1952. A devoted employee of the Will County Sheriff's Food Service Division for many years. He was an animal lover and lifelong Beatles, White Sox and Bears fan. Don will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Survived by his mother, Mary "Peg"; brother, Dave (Cecilia); sisters, Patricia, Kathy and Margie; nieces, Ashley (Mike) Carter and Elizabeth Stanfel; great-nephews, Jackson and Brody Carter; nephew of Betty and Erven VanDeventer; numerous cousins; and special friend, Jill Ferguson. A special thank you to Don's cousin, Sr. Grace Henneberry for her loving support to the family. Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Memorial Mass for Donald R. Stanfel will be held Monday, August 10, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Jude, 2212 McDonough Street, Joliet. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Will County Humane Society or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
