Obituary of Josephine Lewandowski

Josephine D. Lewandowski (nee Urban) Age 81, of Braceville, suddenly Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Foster G. McGaw Hospital. Born November 22, 1933 in Chicago to the late Maxwell and Anna (nee Kohari) Urban. Survived by her two children, Michael (Karen) Lewandowski and Denise (Robert) Oakes; two grandchildren, Joshua and Hollie Lewandowski; six siblings, Frank Urban, Dolores Schilke, Susan Urban, Michael (Debbie) Urban, Albert (Kathy) Urban and George (Nancy) Urban; and many nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Maxine Thomas and Rose Lewis. A special thank you to John (Joan) Palenica and their son, John Keith Palenica who were her devoted friends. Funeral Services for Josephine D. Lewandowski will be held Monday, October 12, 2015 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to St. Mary Nativity for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. As it was Josephine's request, Cremation Rites will be accorded following Mass.
