Obituary of Zelpha Troxel

Zelpha S. Troxel "Sue" Age 75, of Diamond, passed away peacefully, Friday, October 16, 2015 at home with her family by her side. She was born March 2, 1940 in Terre Haute, IN, and was a graduate of State Grade School and High School. Sue retired from Crane Kemlite where she worked as an office secretary and phone operator. She married the love of her life, Ralph Troxel on July 18, 1981 in the yard of the family home. Together they operated Ralph and Sue's Camping by the Chicagoland Motor Speedway. They will be long remembered for their friendliness and hospitality. Surviving are her devoted son and daughter-in law, Duane E. and Jennifer (Latham) Potts; four granddaughters; and two grandsons, Lane and Seth Conway. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph L. Troxel; son, Lyman Potts; parents, Leslie C. and Mary E. (nee Stephens) Kessel; and an infant grandson. Funeral Services for Zelpha "Sue" Troxel will be Monday, October 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Sunday, 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
