Francis J. Denneau

Age 90, passed away Friday, October 16, 2015.
Born July 15, 1925 in Milwaukee, WI, he was the son of Francis X. and Margaret (Sullivan) Denneau. He served with the United States Navy during World War II, and later graduated from DePaul University. He enjoyed a lifelong career in accounting, retiring from Szabo Food Service.
Francis was a member of the American Legion Post #1080 where he was recognized for 70 years of membership in March, 2015. He was also a member of St. Mary Immaculate Parish where he will be remembered as a faithful usher.
He also loved to golf, play cards, and vacation in Wisconsin and Florida.
Survived by his daughters, Joanne (John) Weigt of Batavia, Diane (David) Maxfield of Prior Lake, MN, and Susan Denneau of Darien; three grandsons, Justin (Amelia) Weigt, Jordan (fiancee Jenna) Weigt, and Michael Maxfield; one great-granddaughter, Charlotte Weigt; two step-children, Dianne (Raymond) Kinnary and Ron (Pam) Lyman; two nephews, Tom and Jim Lusciatti; a brother-in-law, Jay Fiday; and many cousins, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his first wife of 42 years, Marilyn (Brookman) Denneau (1993); his second wife of 20 years, Lillian (nee Fiday) Denneau (2015); and his parents.
Funeral Services for Francis Denneau will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 15629 S. Route 59, Plainfield, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials to the American Legion Post #1080 would be appreciated. Visitation Monday, 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
