Obituary of George Medlin

George A. "Bone" Medlin Age 58, of Joliet, IL, passed away at home surrounded by family and loved ones, Thursday, October 29, 2015. He was born April 10, 1957 in Cairo, IL to Michella Ellen and the late Jesse Medlin. He was raised in Joliet where he spent most of his life. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Randolph) Medlin; dearest son of Michella Ellen (nee Monan) Medlin; devoted dad to Alicia Medlin, Mandi (A.J.) Fultz, George (Johnna) Medlin II, Jesse Medlin, Sonia (Jeremy) Bricco, Paul (Jessica) Summers, Jeanette Randolph and Felicia (Antoine) Carnes; proud grandpa of 23; fond brother of Gary (Diane) Medlin, Terry (Karen) Medlin and Ramona Boken. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and special friend, Georgia Keagle. Preceded in death by his father, Jesse. "Bone" was formerly employed as a carpenter with Local #174. He was an avid motorcyclist and fisherman. Although he left us too soon, he lived his life the way he rode-full throttle. As it was George's wish, cremation rites have been accorded. All friends and relatives are invited to gather on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until the Memorial Service begins at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will also continue from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. In lieu of flowers, memorials to his family would be appreciated.
