Obituary of Michael Juricic

Michael A. Juricic, Sr. "Arnie" Age 84, Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Edward Hospital, Plainfield Campus. He was born in Joliet to the late Michael and Anna (nee Gurka) Juricic, he was a lifelong resident. Graduate of Joliet Township High School, Class of 1949. A U.S. Marine Corp veteran of the Korean War honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal with a marksman medal. Retired from ComEd in 1992 as a crew leader following 43 years of service. Arnie thoroughly enjoyed hunting, snow skiing and boating. He also had a passion for restoring vintage cars. Survived by his three children, Kerry (Tim) Ruth of Hinsdale, Kristy (Pete) Pluth of Plainfield and Mike (Jyme) Juricic, Jr. of Channahon; three grandchildren, T.J. Ruth, Claire Pluth and Tres Juricic; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded by his loving wife, Joan (Ramuta) Juricic (1971); his daughter, Kimmy Juricic (1972); two sisters, Dolores Lusin and Sylvia Cushing; his brother, Eugene in infancy. Funeral Services for Michael "Arnie" Juricic will be held Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Memorials in his name to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be appreciated.
