Age 69. Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at LaGrange Hospital. Born in Oak Park IL. A long time Argo/Summit IL resident, and Romeoville resident for 20 years before relocating to Channahon IL. A graduate of Illinois State University. Retired from #104 Grade School District at the Graves and Walsh Elementary School where she taught 2nd and 4th grades for over 35 years. A member of the Red Hat Society in Channahon, IL. She had a passion for the beauty of wolves and had adopted three wolves at the Battleground Indiana Wolf Park.
Survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Leon B. Cole of Channahon; one son Butch (Lisa) Cole of Romeoville; one daughter Cheryl (Robert) Lees of Shorewood; four grandchildren, Courtney and Cody Cole, Kennedy and Ryan Lees; two sisters, one brother, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services for Joleen A. Cole will be Monday, November 21, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Entombment Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation Sunday, 2-6 p.m. at:
