Obituary of Caroline Stanski

Caroline C. Stanski (nee Widlowski) Age 87, of Mesa, AZ the past 17 years, and formerly a lifelong resident of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 26, 2015 with her family by her side. Born December 18, 1927 in Joliet, she was a lifetime member of Holy Cross Church where she also sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Cantigny VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Caroline was a loving wife, and a devoted and caring mother and grandmother. She will be remember as everyone's "Grandma". Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter George Stanski (1998); and her mother, Helen Widlowski. Surviving are her sons, Thomas W. Stanski of Mesa, AZ and David J. (Anne) Stanski of Wisconsin; two granddaughters, Rebecca (Sean) Olson and Rachel (Brian Reimer) Stanski; and a very special cousin, Priscilla (Bob) Eberhard of Joliet. A Memorial Mass for Caroline C. Stanski will be celebrated Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 901 Elizabeth Street, Joliet, where visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery will be private.
