Obituary of Norma Gardner

Norma Jean Gardner "Jean" (nee Wonnell) Age 79. At rest Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Joliet Area Community Hospice home. Formerly employed as a lunch aide at Woodland Grade School for over 25 years. Survived by two daughters, Sue (David) Beallis of Manhattan and Sharon (Howard) Hertzberg of Kankakee; grandmother of David Jr. (Heidi) Beallis, Daniel (Tracy) Beallis, Noe Buss and Katelyn Gardner; great-grandmother of Alyssa, Colin, Haylee, Damien, Mia and David; her sister, Marilyn (late Charles) Thomas. Preceded by her loving husband, Nelson J. Gardner (2012); her son, David Gardner; her parents, Arthur and Alma (nee Woldt) Wonnell; three sisters; and four brothers. Funeral Services for Norma Jean Gardner will be held Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment Manhattan Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Wednesday, 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
