Obituary of James Colombo SR

James M. Colombo, Sr. "Jim" Age 55, of Shadow Lakes in Wilmington, IL and formerly of Westmont and Evergreen Park, IL, passed away peacefully, Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Morris Hospital. He was born November 25, 1955 to Marie (Parry) and the late Santo Colombo in Chicago where he was raised and graduated from St. Lawrence High School. Beloved husband of 33 years to Janice A. (Rittmueller); loving father of James M. Colombo, Jr. of Westmont and Santo "Sam" (Jeanette) Colombo of Scott Air Force Base, IL; dear son of Marie Colombo. He will also be missed by his cats Bobby, Patsy and Mickey. Jim was employed for 28 years as an Independent Consultant in Data Processing. He then became a Real Estate Agent for several years. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. Hobbies included fishing, flying, reading, music, computer gaming, and amateur radio. A celebration of Jim's life will take place Sunday, September 25, 2011 from 2 - 5 p.m. at Toon Funeral Home, 109 N. Cass Ave., Westmont, IL. Please omit flowers.
