Obituary of Lone Reedy

Lone Oliver Reedy Age 98. Passed away peacefully Thursday, December 17, 2015 in Naples, FL. Born in Sullivan, IL to the late Samuel and Mattie (nee Pritts) Reedy. He worked for Caterpillar in Peoria then lived in Joliet from 1950-1959. Lone then moved to Australia for four years as Chief Engineer with Caterpillar before returning to the Aurora plant. He retired following 42 years of service. He returned to Joliet in 1993 and was a very active member in the Plainfield Christian Church. The last 15 years he lived in Naples, FL. Preceded in death by his wife of 76 years, Gladys B. (nee Christy) Reedy; his parents; three sisters, Lena Scott, Hildred Harmison and Ferne Johnson; and one brother, Millard in infancy. Survived by two daughters, Lona E. Prodehl of Naples, FL and Sandra L. (Dr. Richard) Schmitz of Joliet; four grandchildren, Janice Bees, Larry Prodehl, Chris Teague and Karl Schmitz; eight great-grandchildren; Corinne, Caitlin, Kristin, Arianne, Derek, Monikka, Jeff and Brit; and great-great grandchildren also survive.
