Obituary of Audrey Colvin

Audrey "Chris" Colvin (nee Meade) "Mama" Age 76. Passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, after a short but courageous battle with lung cancer. Chris was a loving and thoughtful mother, grandmother and friend to many who enjoyed traveling and cooking for her family. Survived by her children, Cary (Diane) Colvin and Larry (Carol) Colvin; grandchildren, Kelley Hilgert, Shauna (Alan) Palmer, Manda Hilgert; Delbert III, Carla, Brian (Ashia), Carl and Joshua Colvin; Sheri, Kevin and Jennifer Colvin; Sarah, Larry, Samantha, Zachary and Christopher Colvin; great-grandchildren, Kameron, Janae and Ayden McKenzie; Harrison Colvin; Jayden Colvin; many nieces and nephews; an many good friends, especially the very dedicated John and Geri Palmer. Chris also leaves behind her beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Charlie. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Delbert D. Colvin; daughter, Donna E. Hilgert; son, Delbert, Jr.; and parents, Lee Roy and Ethel (nee Wasmund) Meade. Inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice or St. Jude Children's Hospital would be much appreciated.
