Obituary of Evelyn Voitik

Evelyn K. Voitik Age 92. Born in Joliet on December 27, 1923, a lifelong resident. A member of Cantigny Post VFW #367 Ladies' Auxiliary, Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, C.C.W., Cathedral Seniors, 520 Club College of St. Francis. Retired from Caterpillar Tractor Plant on Route 6 on January 1, 1983 after 31 years of service. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, traveling and especially playing cards with the nuns at Our Lady of Angels. Survived by her sister-in-law, Carmen Voitik of Joliet; and numerous nieces and nephews, including niece and caregiver, Mary (William) Tobiasz of Woodridge. Preceded by her parents, Leo J. Voitik, Sr. (1957) and Sarah "Babe" (nee Lyons) Voitik (1988); three sisters, Margaret L. Voitik (1938), Eleanor L. Voitik (2004) and Louise M. (John T., 1992) Konowalski (2011); two brothers, Leo J. Voitik, Jr. (1996) and Richard F. Voitik (2015); sister-in-law, Betty M. (nee Martincich) Voitik (2002); and nephew, John Konowalski Jr. (1996). Funeral Services for Evelyn K. Voitik will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Our Lady of Angels, 1201 Wyoming Avenue, Joliet where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
