Walter H. Clark, Jr.
"Herb"
Age 83, of Minooka, passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Joliet area Community Hospice Home surrounded by his loving family.
Born June 25, 1932 in Louisville, KY, he was the son of Walter Herbert and Ella Ree (nee Tincher) Clark. A veteran of the United States Army, he served in Korea during the Korean War. Herb retired from Reynolds Metals Company as a millwright with 44 years of service. A member of the Plainfield American Legion Marne Post #13, where he called Bingo for many years. He was also a member of Minooka United Methodist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Herb enjoyed showing his 1986 El Camino Chattanooga Choo-Choo Custom Edition at car shows, winning 1st place many times.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Dorothy (nee Rozwens) Clark; one daughter, Gina (Royce) Beavers of Lockport; two sons, Greg Clark of Temecula, CA and Gary (Judith) Clark of Hudson, IL; one stepdaughter, Judy (Michael) Cimarolli of Lockport; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ron (late Sandy) Clark of Lockport.
Preceded by his first wife, JoAnn (nee Dockery) Clark (September 24, 1994); his parents; one sister, Virginia Russell; and one brother, Sherrill Clark.
Funeral services for Herb Clark will be held Monday, January 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Rev. Sarah Hong will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice or Minooka United Methodist Church would be appreciated.
