Obituary of Eileen Connor

Connor, Eileen A. (nee Richardson) Age 90. Peacefully, Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home. Born July 7, 1921 in Farmington, IL to the late Thomas and Louise (nee Zimmer) Richardson, she was a lifelong area resident. She was a food server at the former D'Amicos for many years. She was an avid Cubs fan, who enjoyed bowling and traveling, including spending time in Siesta Key, FL. Eileen was a volunteer at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in the Cancer Care Department. Survived by one daughter, Kathy (Jerry) Papesh of Channahon; son, John (Joan) Connor of Joliet; dear friend, Bill DeLoria of Homer Glen; grandchildren, David Dobbs, Jim Dobbs, Bryan (Kim) Papesh, Chris (Melissa) Papesh, Ray (Kristin) Connor, Ed (Tara) Connor and fourteen great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, William Dustin Connor (1984); and daughter, Linda Dobbs (2007) and her friend, Bob Schwab. Funeral Services for Eileen A. Connor will be Monday, June 11, 2012 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Residence Chapel at 11:00 a.m. 1201 Wyoming Avenue, Joliet , where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Fr. Jim Lennon officiating. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to all who cared for their mother especially, the nurses and aides at Our Lady of Angels, the staff at the Inn at Willow Falls and Joliet Area Community Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her memory to Joliet Area Community Hospice or Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home would be appreciated. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville.
