Obituary of Donna Postema

Donna J. Postema (nee Harvey) Age 74. Passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016. She is survived by her husband, William D. Postema; daughter, Cindy (Alan) Greenberg; son Richard Almquist; grandchildren, Jenny and Robert; siblings, Janice (Jim) Flannery, Butch and Sandy (Ed) Brown; and many nieces and nephews. Donna loved her dogs, Honey Bear and the late Dakota. She will always be remembered for her funny personality and her belief that "when one door closes, another one opens." She wants everyone to remember that she absolutely does not want her ashes taken to the Grand Canyon because of her fear of heights. A Memorial Gathering will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet from 2:00-8:00 p.m. As it was Donna's wish, Cremation Rites have been accorded. For more information: (815) 741-5500.
