Obituary of James Miller

James Thomas Miller Age 76. A lifelong resident of the Joliet area passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Joliet Area Community Hospice surrounded by his loving family. Survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Donna (nee Rodeghiero); daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Pat Kelly; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Tracy Miller; grandchildren, Christopher, Erin & Brett Kelly, Josephine Miller; endeared cousin, Sandy (Bob) Derby. Preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Florence (nee Phillips) Miller. Born in Joliet he was a lifelong resident of Joliet, Plainfield and Channahon. He worked 38 years at Plainfield Tool & Engineering and was a member of the Plainfield volunteer fire department for 20+ years where he established many lifelong friendships. He was well loved by family, friends and coworkers and was known for a 'good' joke. A celebration of Jim's life will be held Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 2-5:30 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. A prayer service will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. Private inurnment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
