We are so sad to hear that Uncle Cas has passed away. He was a dear family friend for many years, and a true example of Christ-likeness and a witness for the Gospel. He has blessed each of us with his intercessory prayers, friendship, humility, humour, and wisdom. He had a beautiful way of drawing in everyone he came across, and we all left his company feeling special and loved. We will miss him in this life, but rejoice knowing that he is with his Saviour, and we will laugh with him again one day. He would always end off our conversations with, "Do zobaczenia, z Bogiem". See you soon, go with God.
Knowing that my uncle Cas was able to become so accomplished in this life always has given me the confidence to know that I also have this in me. My dear uncle Cas, thank you for all you have given me.
Father Cas was my senior year religion teacher at Catholic High in Joliet, in 1960. He also was the mentor for those students who entered the third order of Carmelites. He was one of the reasons why I entered the Carmelite seminary. Fr. Cas had a great sense of humor, and he knew how to inspire young men to be the best they can be. I lost touch with him after 1960 but I will always be thankful for his example. He was down to earth, always available, and always a great example of what a Carmelite priest should be. God grant him eternal joy in heaven.
I wish everyone could experience a relative or friend as cousin Cas was. He has been all over the world helping people of all walks of life. We first visited Cas in his retirement home in 2005. Coming down every year as a snowbird to take him to lunch, dinner and just listening to his life journey. Cas was a relic to behold. Our wintering in Florida won't be the same with out him. Love you Padre.
