Billie Jean Klein
(nee Farmer)
Age 82. Died Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Brookdale of Joliet. Born February 11, 1934 in Seneca, IL to the late William and Lillian (nee Crum) Farmer. A former Frankfort and Joliet area resident.
Billie was a graduate of Morris Hospital School of Nursing and worked many years in the Morris and Joliet areas, finishing her career as the office nurse at her husband's private practice. Billie was an avid gardener, baker and gourmet chef who enjoyed sharing her delicacies with family and friends. She was a member of Joliet Jewish Congregation and former volunteer at the Joliet Historical Museum.
Survived by her son, Jeffrey (Renee) Specht; step-son, Fred (Sharon) Klein; step-daughter, Susan (Allen) Bagdade; grandchildren, Adam (Amy) Specht, April (Gordan) Redzic, Larry (Jamie) Klein, Danny Klein, Jori (Matt) Jacobs; eight great-grandchildren; dear niece, Sue Henn; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Samuel Klein, M.D.; her parents; and sister, Betty (Leo) Nystrom.
As it was Billie's request, Cremation Rites have been accorded. Private family services were held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
