Obituary of Joan Ditton

Joan L. Ditton (nee Siemack) Age 65, of Channahon, IL, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born February 28, 1951 in Chicago to the late Genevieve and Julius Siemack, she attended the former Lockport West High School (Romeoville) and graduated with the class of 1969. Beloved mother of Christina Guerra (Steve Watts), Amanda (Mike) Blaha and William (Julie) Ditton. Proud grandmother of Ricky; Nathan and baby Owen due any day now. Dear sister of Ron Siemback and Linda (George) Villa; best friend and beloved partner of 30 years to Robert Cienciak. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her parents. Joan was employed for many years by the US Postal Service, retiring from the Fox Valley branch a few years ago. She enjoyed traveling and the occasional trip to the casino, and in her younger years crocheting. All friends and relatives are invited to gather at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 4:00 until 7:30 p.m. at which time a Memorial Service will begin. Cremation rites have been accorded and interment will be private.
