Amelia Kay Movold
(nee Mavrich)
Age 92, of Joliet, passed away peacefully Monday, March 14, 2016 at Our Lady Angels Retirement Home.
Born in Joliet, she was the daughter of Louis and Amelia (Minarich) Mavrich and a lifetime area resident. Amelia was a Navy Wave during WWII and for many years an American Red Cross volunteer. She worked as a stenographer in the Will County court system for former States Attorney Frank H. Masters, Jr.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Movold (May 5, 2002); her parents and grandparents; and her sister, Dorothy Mavrich (February 10, 2015).
Survived by her sisters, Gladys Visotsky of Evanston, IL and Alice de Rotaeche of Clayton, MO; two nephews, Jeffrey Visotsky and John de Rotaeche; and two nieces, Robin Visotsky and Maria Green.
A Memorial Mass for Amelia Kay Movold will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home, 1201 Wyoming Avenue, Joliet. At Amelia's request, cremation rites were accorded. Inurnment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Fred C. Dames Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
