Obituary of Judith Kawa

Judith Ann Kawa "Judy" Judith Ann "Judy" Kawa, age 61, of Joliet, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. Born September 19, 1954 in Chicago, she was the daughter of Peter Scorzo and Florence (Carso) Tortorilli. Judy was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She loved fishing, gardening, looking at the stars, and cooking, but most of all, playing with her grandchildren. Surviving are her daughter, Shannon (Julie Johnson) Kawa of Joliet; two sons, Thomas Kawa, Jr. of Shorewood, and Michael (Rosie) Kawa of Ft. Campbell, KY; two grandchildren, Jack Johnson and Katie Kawa; three brothers, Peter, Richard and Joseph Scorzo; and her faithful companion, Rusty. A Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Wayside Chapel, 12700 Southwest Highway, Palos Park, IL Interment will be private. Memorials to the family would be appreciated.
