Obituary of Alice Castillo

Alice C. Castillo Age 74. At rest, March 31, 2016 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center. Born March 30, 1942 in Memphis, TN to John L. and Viola (nee Bush) Turner. She was a graduate of Memphis State University and received a Masters degree from the University of St. Francis. She worked for the State of Illinois, Department of Family Services with over 30 years of service. Alice enjoyed Bingo, movies, and spending time at family gatherings, but especially liked having time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Cynthia (Ruben) Castillo and Jason Castillo; six grandchildren, Tyler Castillo, Addison Castillo, Douglas (Diane) Camacho, Rory (Erika) Camacho, and Cristina Camacho; four great-grandchildren, Abigail, Vincent, Allison and Sydney; two brothers, William David (Anita) Turner and Joseph Lee (Debbie) Turner; sister-in-law, Vera Ramirez; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond P. Castillo (2001); her parents; and one brother, John L. Turner. Funeral services for Alice Castillo will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation Monday, from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
