Obituary of Sandra Seemann

Sandra S. Seemann (nee Hensley) Age 68. At rest Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Desert Springs Hospital, Las Vegas, NV. Born in Gainsboro, TN on October 6, 1947, she was a longtime Joliet area resident. She was the owner/operator of the Shorewood Early Learning Daycare Center since 1990, having started in-home daycare in 1986. Previously employed as a waitress at the former Colonial Restaurant and Sheridan Restaurant in downtown Joliet, as well as the New Lenox Family Restaurant. Member of Margaret Street Church of Christ and the Ladies of the Moose, Chapter #84. She enjoyed traveling. Survived by her daughter, Sharon K. (Thomas) Carrescia; son, Kenneth Wayne Lack; one stepson; Michael Seemann; grandmother of Wyatt, Carla, Blake and Devin Carrescia, Starr and Jenna Lack ; three step-grandsons, Bobby, Mikey and Jeffrey Seemann; dear sister of James A. (Adelia) Hensley, Thelma Loftis, Louise Hibbs, Beulah (Earl) Davis, Charles (Velma) Hensley, Joyce Law, Jimmy (Norma) Hensley and Bobby (Nancy) Hensley; and aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Vincent; her parents, Ernest and Roxie (nee Flatt) Hensley; one sister, Judy Hensley; grandson, Bradley; and two stepsons, Jeffrey and Charlie Seemann. Funeral Services for Sandra S. Seemann will be Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet at 10:00 a.m. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery.
