Obituary of Frank Argoudelis
Frank J. Argoudelis
Age 86, of Joliet, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home from complications of a stroke he suffered in November, 2015.
Born June 14, 1929 in Joliet, he was the son of James Z. and Alexandria D. (nee Diakakis) Argoudelis. He attended Joliet Township High School and was a lifelong farmer in Plainfield Township. A 60-year member of the Plainfield Lodge #536, A. F. & A. M., a lifelong member of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church and member of AHEPA and the Mykonos Society, and the Will County Farm Bureau.
Preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John Z. Argoudelis; and a sister that died at birth.
Survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Anna (nee Georgiadis) Argoudelis; three children, James F. Argoudelis, Alexandria A. (Paul) Harris and John F. (Maria) Argoudelis; five grandchildren, James P., Frank P. and Arianna A. Harris, Elena Anna and Alexandros N. Argoudelis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Argoudelis Family would like to say a special thank you to Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center Neuro ICU and Joliet Area Community Hospice for their excellent and compassionate care during his final illness.
Funeral Services for Frank J. Argoudelis will be held Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 8:45 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church for service at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials in his name to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church Endowment Fund or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation will be Wednesday, 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home with Trisagion Services at 6:30 p.m. A Masonic Service will also be conducted Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. For more information: (815) 741-5500.
