Obituary of Goldia Fugett

Goldia M. Fugett (nee DeHart) Age 88. At rest Monday April 11, 2016 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Sandy Hook, KY to the late Lizzie (Shelton) and John DeHart. She moved to Joliet at the age of 17 and had resided here ever since. Formerly employed as a food preparer at Washington Jr. High School. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, playing cards, dominos and of course, cooking. Survived by four children, Dennis Fugett of Joliet, Judy (Dennis) Ryan of Collierville TN, J. David (Sally) Fugett of Minooka and John Fugett of Channahon; seven grandchildren, Duane, Liz, Laura, Jennifer, Ryan, Logan and Nick; two great-granddaughters, McKenna and Hadley with one great-granddaughter on the way; one sister, Anna L. (late Dr. John) Vansant; sisters-in-law, Joann DeHart and Elizabeth DeHart; and numerous nieces and nephews, including special niece, Marlene. Preceded in death by her husband, Jesse; parents; five brothers, Charlie (late Lena), Arvil (late Ola), Addie (late Opal), Glenn (late Joanne) and Delbert DeHart; two sisters, Opal (late Nelson) Porter and Ollie (late Thurman) Stegall. Funeral Services for Goldia M. Fugett will be Friday April 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
