Phyllis M. Bormet
Age 88. At rest Friday, April 29, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Chicago, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Loretta Fiore. Residing in Morris the past 25 years. Former owner/operator of Phyl's Beauty Shop of Oak Lawn, IL. A volunteer as a receptionist in the surgical unit and waiting room of Morris Hospital. Member of First Presbyterian Church of Morris and the Morris Moose Lodge. An avid gardener and thoroughly enjoyed her exercise class, all her friends and loved to sew and travel.
Survived by her children, Phyllis Mueller (Quentin Blome) of Woodstock, IL and William (Lorraine) Parks of Utah; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; one sister, Carmela (Vincent) Canino of Tinley Park, IL and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded by her husband, Norman Bormet (2009); her son, Howard S. Parks (2014) and six siblings.
Phyllis M. Bormet will lie in state Monday, May 2, 2016 at 9 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 200 E. Jackson Street, Morris, until time of services at 10 a.m. Interment Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Tinley Park. Memorials in her name to First Presbyterian Church or the Transportation Department at Morris Hospital would be appreciated. Visitation Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W.
