Obituary of Ashley Borja

Ashley Jordan Borja Age 20, died suddenly Thursday, May 5, 2016 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born September 1, 1995 in Boise, Idaho and raised in Plainfield, IL. A graduate of Plainfield North High School, Class of 2013. Ashley was in her third year at Bradley University in Peoria, studying Mechanical Engineering. She recently accepted an Internship at Caterpillar Inc. Beloved daughter of Laura (Baumann) Borja of Plainfield and Dionicio "Joe" Borja, also of Plainfield; loving sister of Aaron (Aveline) Miller, Dionicio "Jonathan" Borja (U.S. Navy), Elise, Alexandra and Delaney Borja; proud aunt of Bella and Amaya; precious granddaughter of Celestina Borja, Dionicio Borja, Sr., Irene Baumann and the late David Baumann (February 2016); she will also be missed by her aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends and her beloved canine companion, Conner. Ashley was a member of Community Christian Church of Plainfield. She will be remembered fondly as a very generous, giving person who enjoyed crafts, art and volunteering at her church in addition to various causes. She had represented Bradley University in Louisiana recently with Habitat for Humanity. Visitation for Ashley Borja will be held Monday, May 9, 2016 from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet, IL. All friends and relatives are invited to gather at Community Christian Church 13731 Rt. 30, Plainfield, IL Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 12 noon until funeral services begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
