Obituary of John Macfarlane

John R. Macfarlane John R. Macfarlane of Morris, Illinois peacefully passed away following a courageous battle with cancer at Regency Care of Morris. His kind and generous nature was with him until the very end. Age 58. Survived by his sister, Linda (John) Maselli of Barrington; his brother, James "Pat" Macfarlane; his nephew, John (Marissa) Maselli of Houston, TX; many cousins and special friends not only locally but throughout the country over his lifetime. Proceeded in death by his parents, John and Carrie (nee Campos) Macfarlane of Joliet. Born in Joliet and residing in Morris since 2011. Attended Joliet Catholic High School and a graduate of Joliet West High School. Formerly employed as a commercial printer. John was a very good neighbor to the residents of Saratoga Towers, assisting them with anything they would need. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and staff at Regency Care of Morris for their professional medical care and special human touch. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 12 Noon at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 (at Deerpath Drive), Morris, IL, Fr. Robert Noesen to officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Regency Care of Morris, 1095 Twilight Drive, Morris, IL 60450 or Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 245 S.
