May today's sorrow give way
to the peace and
comfort of God's love.
Extending deepest sympathy
For you in your loss.
And hoping, too,
That comfort and peace
May come to you.
Praying for friends to comfort you,
faith to uphold you,
and loving memories
to help you smile again.

Papa
I will always remember the memories
The moments we shared
Though you rarely showed your feelings
I know that you cared
So tell me how does heaven fare
Are you fishing up there?
You opened up your home to me
When I was in a time of need
I want you to know that meant the world to me
Now when I watch White Sox games
They're not the same
But I know you're with Grandma now
At peace without pain
So when thinkimg of you
I'll have a beer or two......maybe even a few
CHEERS - HERE'S TO YOU

My deepest regrets to everyone. Uncle Bob was a very special part of my life growing up. even though I haven't seen him in the past years, I will never forget him and all the time we spent down at the River and going for boat rides and fishing with him. I remember him building camp fires at night and Aunt Shirley making us fruit pies and marshmallows. He was an incredible loving man and was always so kind to me. I remember him laughing and joking around with me and always teasing me and telling me stories. Especially about the crocodiles and dinosaurs in the River. My niece Heather and I would like to come visit the family whenever it is appropriate so everyone can meet her daughter Bailee who is now two. All my love always Susie Lambert

Honoring Dad. It's a commandment, but in this case, it comes natural. It's not about me. My life is one that was molded but this prince of a man. Dad.
I was never much in school. Average, at best. Looking back, I believe Dad recognized that. So, when I was about 10, Dad sat down with me and drew many pictures, illustrating how an automobile engine worked. My Dad was a phenomenal artist as was Grandma Hazel! I was captivated and fascinated! The next Christmas, I received a, visible, see-through V8 engine! Dad and I assembled it during the next few months as he thoroughly explained each part. My Mom usually did all the Christmas shopping but somehow I knew Dad picked this out. (Better than a b-b gun; I probably would've shot my eye out :)
I remember anytime Dad built something out of wood, he insisted I be there. I wanted to go outside and play baseball. One day, Dad had me doing an entire project. Measuring, marking and cutting. Hammering and fitting pieces together. I was thrilled. Dad told me it turned out great. Of course, he was watching me steadfastly during the process to ensure I didn't cut a finger off.
One of my favorite, family songs is by Luther Vandross, "Dance With My Father" as he sings of a longing, even praying, for one more dance with his father again.
I'm so grateful for the "times" with Dad. His memory lives on. I truly love you, Dad!
