Obituary of Vera Corsetti
Vera M. Corsetti
Age 79. Peacefully, Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Italy, she was a Joliet resident for the past 40 years. Retired from Corsetti Structural Steel after over 20 years as the bookkeeper. During her life in Italy, she was a grade school teacher. Member of the American Italian Cultural Society. Some of her greatest loves in life were her grandchildren, sewing, gardening, cooking and preparing her home to receive family and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Silvio and Loreta (nee DiGiovine) Corsetti.
Survived by her two sons, Silvio (Diane) Biasella of Carol Stream and Fabio (Cheryl) Biasella of Joliet; two grandchildren, Alexander and Andrea; four brothers, Paul (Nancy), Peter (Anna), Carmine and Victor (Barbara) Corsetti all of Joliet; two sisters, Connie (Mark) Carey of Morris and Lucy (Joseph) Pluth of Richton Park, IL; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services for Vera M. Corsetti will be Monday, October 19, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice or the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. Visitation Sunday 2-8 p.m. at:
