Obituary of David Ray Zoldak

David Ray Zoldak Age 51, of Plainfield, IL died Monday evening, July 11, 2016 at Rush University Medical Center after battling cancer since April of this year. Beloved husband of 26 years to Anastasia (nee Sotiropoulos) Zoldak and loving father of Demetria "Deme" Zoldak. Also survived by extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anne Zoldak and father-in-law, Paul Sotiropoulos. David was employed for many years at Bank of America. He will be remembered fondly as a very well-rounded person who loved life. He possessed a sense of honor and trust which endeared him to many. He was a sports enthusiast with a great sense of humor who enjoyed a good barbeque, but nothing made him happier than being with his daughter and wife. Funeral for David Ray Zoldak will begin Friday, July 15, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, 102 N. Broadway St., Joliet, where services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park II (former Hills of Rest). Visitation Thursday, from 4 - 7 p.m. with Trisagion services at 6: 00 p.m. at the funeral home.
