Age 89, a lifetime Joliet, IL resident, died peacefully Sunday August 14, 2016 at the Symphony of Joliet. He was born November 29, 1926 to the late Helen (nee Medvesky) and Michael Shutty. A U.S. Navy Veteran who served during WWII aboard the SS Mayfield.
Beloved husband of 65 years to Mary Loretta (nee Homer) Shutty; loving father of the late Pamela (late Stephen) Pelinski and Glenn Shutty (Amy); dear grandfather of Stephen (Kathleen) Pelinski and Adam Pelinski (Danika); proud great grandfather of Ethan, Dylan, Austin, Abby and Andrew. Also survived by his sister, Agnes and several generations of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his daughter, son-in-law and parents, he is also preceded in death by his brothers, Victor and Aloysius Shutty.
Frank retired from Caterpillar Inc. after over 35 years of service. He was a member of the East Side AC, Loyal Order of Moose, Joliet Lodge #300 and the former Crescent Club. Pee Wee enjoyed playing cards and many outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing and golf.
Visitation will be held Thursday August 18, 2016 from 3 - 7 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet.
