Obituary of Guadalupe Lara Romero

Guadalupe Lara Romero Age 83, of Joliet, IL passed away peacefully, Monday, August 22, 2016 at Lakewood Living and Rehabilitation Center, with her family at her side. She was born December 12, 1932 in Mexico to the late Tomasa Loya and Carlos Lara. Guadalupe loved music and enjoyed dancing and singing. She was proud of her home and will be remembered for being a meticulous housekeeper. Surviving are her devoted daughters, Ramona Rodelas of Chicago, and Yolanda Martinez of Joliet; four grandchildren Alain Giovanni Rodelas, Estrella (Alex) Saucedo, Edgar Martinez and Efren "Tommy" Martinez; and six great-grandchildren, Analiese Bella Rodelas, Mercedes, Manuel and Nathaniel Martinez, Zaya Saucedo and Sofia Martinez. Also surviving are two brothers, two sisters and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Martin Romero. Funeral services for Guadalupe Lara Romero will be held Thursday August 25, 2016 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet where visitation will take place from 3:00 p.m. until services begin at 7:30 p.m. Fr. Jose Cilia will officiate. Interment will take place at a later date in El Paso. TX.
