Obituary of Earl Alvin Scott

Earl A. Scott Age 88, of Joliet, passed away August 25, 2016 at Rosewood Care Center, Joliet, IL Born January 7, 1928 in Watseka, he served with the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He was a real estate agent and broker for 45 years, and he and his wife owned and operated Crown Realty for 25 years. Earl was a member of the American Legion Post #1080, and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge; and a former member of the Elks Lodge. Surviving are his beloved wife, Rosemary A. (nee Tharp) Scott of Joliet; son, Kevin Alan Scott, of Joliet; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene Lowe; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded by his parents, Claude and Tammy (nee Miller) Scott; son, Gregory Earl Scott; one grandson, Jeff Van Us; and eight brothers and sisters. Funeral Service for Earl A. Scott will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Cremation Rites will be accorded and burial of his urn will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with full military honors under the auspices of the United States Marine Corps at a later date.
