Obituary of Rosannah M. Sather

Rosannah M. Sather Rosannah M. Sather, Age 87, of Joliet, Illinois passed away on August 29th, 2016 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home in Joliet, IL. Rosannah was born in Evansville, Indiana on March 16, 1929. She graduated from Benjamin Bosse High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University. She was married to Dr. Howard L. Sather on June 21, 1952 in LaGrange, Illinois. They were married for 30 years. Rosannah worked as an elementary school teacher at Forest Park Elementary in LaGrange Park, Illinois. She enjoyed her European travels, bridge, tennis and golf with her spouse and friends. She is survived by her children: John (Linda) Sather of Joliet, Anne Sather (partner James Deanes) of Chicago, Jane McCaffrey of Darien IL, Ellen (John) Calamos of Naperville IL, and Amy (Andrew) Cottrell of Naperville IL, and her grandchildren; Evan Sather of Willowbrook IL, Ryan Sather of Willowbrook IL, Alex Calamos of Naperville IL, Lucy McCaffrey of Darien IL, Samantha Calamos of Naperville IL, Johnny Calamos of Naperville IL, Evelyn Cottrell of Naperville, IL, and Jack Cottrell of Naperville IL , and other family and friends. Rosannah is preceded in death by her husband Howard, parents Bernard and Ellen Martin, and brother Wallace Martin. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home, 1201 Wyoming Avenue, Joliet, where visitation will be held Friday September 2, 2016 from 6 - 8 p.m. and will resume Saturday morning from 9 am until services begin at 11 am at Our Lady of Angels. Graveside interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Joliet. Rev. Dr. Craig M. Herr, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Joliet, will officiate. For information (815) 741-5500
