Obituary of Jorge L Rosado

Jorge L. Rosado “Jorgie” Our beloved, Jorgie Rosado, age 60, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, following a courageous battle with cancer. Jorgie is survived by his wife of 20 years, Helen; one daughter, Stephanie (Billy) Zahery; two sons, Louie and Justin Rosado; his mother, Maria Reyes; one brother, Ted Rosado; two sisters, Vicky Rosado and Lissie (Wally) Rafalzik; and many other loving relatives. Jorgie is preceded by his father, Alejandro Reyes. Jorgie was a kind son, loving husband, devoted father, cherished brother and caring uncle who will always be remembered for his selflessness. He was sweet, generous and passionate about everyone he loved. He lived for his family and every moment with them brought him joy and peace. His charm could light up a room and his happiness was contagious to those who were blessed to know him. Jorgie had a love for the arts and this was apparent in everything he did. Music was his passion and he could always put a smile on anyone’s face with his lively voice and his amusing dance moves. We will always remember him for his vivacious soul and the animated stories that he shared. Even at the end of his time with us, he was the best example of true strength and perseverance. Our days without him will be long and difficult and we will forever ache to have him here with us again, but we are blessed with his fond memories and they will forever be engraved in our hearts. We know that he is smiling at us from above. He was the pillar of strength that held our family together and we will proudly carry on his legacy. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 10:00am at the Fred C Dames Chapel, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
