Surviving are his devoted wife, Rosanna of Shorewood; his loving children, Michele (Jeffrey) Schuster-Difazzio of Yorkville, Michael (Lauren) Schuster of Frankfort, and Kari (Edward) Rodriguez of Plainfield; five adoring grandchildren, Spencer Necas, Amber Necas, Payton Schuster, Makenzie Schuster, and Brynley Schuster; his mother, Aldona (Galdik) Murphy of Romeoville; a former son-in-law who was like a son, George (Kimberly) Necas; one brother, Richard (Sandra) Schuster; three sisters, Sandra (Herman) Stolk, Gerry (William) Doran, and Kathryn (James) Higgins; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick J. Schuster.
Fred worked as an electrician for 40 years and was a proud member of IBEW Local #134. He retired in 2014.
An avid fan of the Chicago Bears, White Sox and Blackhawks, Fred enjoyed reading, working puzzles, and studying history.
He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren, and was always looking out for them. They all loved him dearly in return. His family and friends will miss his strong bear hugs, and his warm and strong handshake will never be forgotten.
