Obituary of Elizabeth B. Hartman

Hartman, Elizabeth (nee Barry) "Betty" Age 95. Passed away peacefully Saturday October 1, 2016 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center. Born on August 4, 1921 to the late Thomas and Mary (nee Loetscher) Barry. She was a Joliet area resident for 74 years. A graduate of Joliet Township High School. Retired from Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center after 15 years of service from the surgical department. A member of the CCW of the Cathedral of St. Raymond, the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, and was a volunteer at the Rialto Square Theatre for 11 years. Survived by her children, Joan (Dennis) Heim, Alan (Terry) Hartman, Barry (Paula) Hartman and Louann (John) Owens; five grandchildren, Eric Heim and Megan Heim, Erin Hartman; Lindsey (Tom) Anderson and Matthew Owens; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and two sisters. Funeral Services for Elizabeth B. Hartman will be Tuesday October 4, 2016 at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus would be appreciated. Visitation will be at the Cathedral TUESDAY MORNING one hour prior from 9 a.m. until time of services at 10 a.m. Fred C. Dames Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
