Obituary of Quin W. Blood
Quin W. "Art" Blood
Age 87, of Joliet, and a lifelong Joliet resident, passed away peacefully, Monday, October 3, 2016 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home with his family at his side.
Born October 29, 1928, he was the son of Horace and Margaret H. (Harrington) Blood, and was a graduate of St. Patrick's Grade School and Joliet Catholic High School. He proudly served with the United States Army during the Korean War. Art retired from GAF as Traffic Manager after many years of service.
Art was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and also enjoyed fishing and visiting the casinos.
Surviving are his two devoted daughters, Nancy (Sam) Piccioli of Shorewood, and Barbara (David) Converse of Joliet; two adoring grandchildren, Michael (Alissa) Piccioli of Mayer, MN and Andrea (Brian) French of Shorewood; six great-grandchildren, Geno, Tony and Joey Piccioli and Gracie, Samantha and Ruby French; brothers-in-law, Sam (Marge) Persico and John (Betty) Persico; sisters-in-law, Sandy (late Richard) Persico and Norma (late Angelo) Persico; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his beloved wife of 54 years, Mary F. (Cellenti) Blood (2006); and his parents.
Funeral services for Art Blood will be held Friday, October 7, 2016 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet to Holy Family Catholic Church, 600 N. Brookforest Drive, Shorewood, for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum. Memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice Home would be appreciated.
