Karen B. Henderson

Age 70, of Morris, IL and formerly Joliet, IL and Lincoln, NE, passed Saturday October 8, 2016 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL after a nearly two year battle against cancer. She was born in Beacon, NY August 20, 1946 to the late Ruth (nee Nutt) and Robert Branson and was raised in Wappinger Falls, NY.
Beloved mother of Rich Henderson of Groton, SD, Kim (Jeremy) Randolph of Aberdeen, SD and Timothy (Xzyleta) Henderson of Pierre, SD; loving grandmother of Taylor; Orion, Tory, Tara and Timmy; X'zaiver, Xzander, Xzayana, Xzanes, Xzaria and Xzaylin; proud great-grandmother of Lucas and Levi; dear sister of Cindy (Buzz) Rosmilso, Mike (Diane) Branson, Sally (Mike) Lynch and the late Lisa Branson. Several nieces, nephews and friends, including Patricia Wagner also survive. She will also be missed by her canine companion, Oliver.
Preceded in death by her husband, Richard B. Henderson, her parents and sister.
Karen was an avid fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team. She enjoyed traveling, a few favorite spots included the Deep Creek Lake in Maryland, and recent trips to Europe and Hawaii. Although traveling and the Cornhuskers meant the world to her, her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her true passion. She will be deeply missed.
As it was Karen's wish, cremation rites will be accorded and her final earthly remains will be interred with those of her late husband Rich's, in Lincoln, Nebraska.
