William A. Crossen III
"Bones"
Age 64. Suddenly Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Joliet on July 24, 1945, he was a lifelong resident. Graduate of Joliet Catholic High School, Class of 1963. He received his Bachelors Degree from Lewis University in 1968 and his M.B.A. from DePaul University. Part owner and employed by R.S. Blunt and Company from 1963-present. Formerly employed by St. Joseph Catholic Grade School, Joliet as a teacher and principal. Member of the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, serving his church as a past board member; also he was past board member of Joliet Catholic High School Advisory Board and the Parent Board of Joliet Catholic Academy. Mr Crossen was part of the Thursday meeting group of his grade school and high school peers and very active with Tuesday Night basketball at First Presbyterian Church and his weekend golf group. An avid sports enthusiast, golfer and Chicago Bears season ticket holder.
Survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Donna (Paone) Crossen; his son, William Crossen IV; his mother, Audrey (Lindberg) Crossen all of Joliet; siblings, John Crossen of San Diego, Joanne (Michael) Hayes of Joliet, Jane (Damon) Rinard of Toronto, Canada, his very special sister, Mary Crossen of Joliet; brother-in-law of Dominic Paone of Joliet and Diane (Bob) Remley of Shorewood; dear uncle of John "Jack" (Jane) Crossen, Jennifer (Rob) Garza, Jeff Hayes, Michael (Carleen) Paone and Brian Paone; great uncle of Skylar and Callie Garza, Brandon Michael Paone.
Preceded in death by his father, William A. Crossen II (1982) and father and mother-in-law, Dominic T. and Dorothy (Pappas) Paone.
Funeral services for William A. Crossen III will be Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Joliet. Memorials in his name to Joliet Catholic Academy would be greatly appreciated. Visitation Friday 3-8 p.m. at:
