Obituary of Jay D. Zielinski

Jay D. Zielinski Age 60. Passed away suddenly on November 9, 2016 at Alden Estates in Shorewood, IL. Born October 8, 1956 in Joliet, IL to Theresa and David Zielinski. Jay graduated from Joliet Catholic High School 1974. He attended JJC and Southern Illinois University and was a teamster for many years retiring from Welch Redimix 2010. He was an avid runner who enjoyed photography and loved the outdoors. Jay especially loved to spend time at his property in the UP of Michigan with his wife and his beloved German Shorthair, Maxine. Survived by his loving wife and best friend of 10 years, Deborah (nee Vaksdal) Zielinski; his mother, Theresa (nee Zuchora) Zielinski; six children, Jason Zielinski, Kelly (Jennifer) McNabb, Donnie (Paula) McNabb, Lisa (Mike) Allen, Emily McNabb, Paul McNabb; Step Children, Kevin McNabb and Rebecca McNabb; grandfather of many; one brother, Gary (Jean) Zielinski; two sisters, Diane Earley and Dawn (Greg) Bujalski; father-in-law, Gordon Vaksdal; sisters-in-law, Betty (Paul) Polarek, Becky Togliatti and Galynn Vaksdal; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father David Zielinski (2014) and brothers-in-law, Robert Earley and Michael Togliatti. Memorial Gathering for Jay Zielinski will be Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m. at Mazon United Methodist Church, 509 7th Street, Mazon, IL 60444. As it was Jay's wish, cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Fred C.
