Obituary of Helen Cummins

Helen Cummins Age 78. Suddenly, Friday, October 26, 2007 at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, with her family by her side. Born in California in 1929. A longtime Chicago area resident and a Joliet resident for the past 5 years. Retired from Ingalls Memorial Hospital. Formerly employed at Argonne National Laboratory with over 28 years of service. Helen's love for her Hawaiian culture led her to be a teacher, dancer and entertainer in the Chicagoland area for the last 50 years. Preceded by her parents, one sister and one brother. Survived by two sons, Guy Cummins and Babe Cummins, both of Chicago; one daughter, Misty (Mike) Dillon of Joliet; and four grandchildren, Jonny, Noah, Tashi, and Tia Dillon. Funeral services for Helen Cummins will be Thursday, November 1, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. As it was Helen's request, cremation rites have been accorded.
