Obituary of Joanne M. Lobraco

Joanne M. Lobraco (nee Mandarino) Age 77, of Shorewood and formerly of Lemont, Cicero, and Chicago, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, December 12, 2016 at the home of her son. Born January 17, 1939 in Chicago, she was the daughter of Annunziato and Bridget (Gallo) Mandarino. In her early years, she worked at Kemper Insurance in downtown Chicago. When her and James married, she became a homemaker raising their beautiful children and also worked several years in the Carmelite Gift Shop in Darien. Joanne was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a beloved Nonnie, and a dear sister. Preceded by her beloved husband of 48 years, James P. Lobraco, Sr. (February 21, 2007); and her parents. Loving mother of Lori L. Lobraco, James P. (Janet) Lobraco, Jr., Samuel A. (Susan) Lobraco and Michael J. (Anita) Lobraco; proud and devoted Nonnie of Bridget and Natalie; Stephanie and Nicholas; Jessica (Rylie) and Joseph; Christopher and Daniel; fond sister to Eugene (Mary) Mandarino, Anthony (Marie) Mandarino, Palma (Robert) Pullia, Sam (Judy) Mandarino, Geraldine (Pat) Shannon, Nick Mandarino, Rich (Gloria) Mandarino, Emil (Pat) Mandarino, Robert (Vicky) Mandarino, and Sandy (Rich) Cutrara; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Joanne Lobraco will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet, to Holy Family Catholic Church, 600 N. Brookforest Drive, Shorewood, for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hillside, Visitation will be held Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
